Hacin Senior Associate Matthew Arnold recently spent a few days in Arizona with @lutronelectronics, @ketralighting, and @strateres, touring the Biltmore Hotel, Cosanti Originals, and Frank Lloyd Wright`s Taliesin West, which Lutron and Ketra recently outfitted with their fixtures, highlighting and complementing Wright’s iconic architecture. Patio season feels so close we can almost taste it! A perfect place to enjoy spring weather is at Hacin`s 55 Brighton project in Allston, which spans nearly 100,000 SF of finished space. The housing project`s wide courtyard is accessible from the second floor and allows residents secluded green space while in the middle of a busy neighborhood.

The Whitney Hotel, one of @forbes` top 12 Hotels in Boston, was completed by Hacin on Beacon Hill in 2019. The project included fully reconfiguring and renovating the site`s historic John Jeffries House and adding a new four-story addition on an adjacent lot to create the 65-room boutique hotel.

The dining room of our Beacon Courtyard TH project, featured in the current issue of @nehomemagazine, highlights Bellafonte Studio`s `Purity Mirror`, designed by RISD alum Tiarra Bell. The mirror is surrounded by blackened panga panga wood and is complemented by a chandelier from @bec_brittain for @thefutureperfect and @hopeswindows doors that lead to the kitchen. 55 Brighton, completed last year with @thehamiltoncompany, has received a 2023 Bronze Brick in Architecture award from @brickindustry. Utilizing @beldenbrickco, @glengery, and @morinbrick products (distributed by @spauldingbrick), the multi-family project is located in the Allston neighborhood of Boston and consists of five floors and 77 units.

In Hacin`s Back Bay TH project, the renovated house, which was originally built in 1869, uses contemporary design elements to strategically and dynamically enhance the historic narrative of the home. The hallway of the fifth floor, which connects the primary bedroom, bathroom, and dressing room/spa, juxtaposes a gallery wall with a patterned marble floor from @annsacks (instead of a traditional runner) and custom metal doors from @whetstone_workshop.

Spanning two city blocks in South Boston, the re-envisioned Cole Hersee buildings mark the opening phase of the Iron Works development from @nationaldevelop. Hacin`s design team implemented a phased plan for façade improvement which included a unified system of new storefronts with window replacements and the deployment of murals, strategic lighting, and tenant signage guidelines for businesses such as @tattebakery, @meimeidumplings, and @bspokestudios.

The plus symbol has been part of the Hacin legacy since its inception, originally inspired by Founder and President David Hacin’s Swiss origins.
Formerly used in the name Hacin + Associates (or H+A), it is no longer used as part of our logo after our rebrand to Hacin last year. Instead, the plus lives on its own, symbolizing the collaborative and additive spirit of our studio.

Our recently completed Teton Mountain House project utilizes local materials throughout the home, which is located within the Jackson Hole ski resort. This powder room is no exception, with polished granite sourced from @abcstone complemented by soft lighting from @apparatusstudio.

@thefactoryonwareham, designed by Hacin with @thehollandcompanies, was inspired by the original building on the site, which was used for manufacturing musical instruments. The project includes a brick façade that reinterprets the previous warehouse and adds a new, three-story metal-clad volume that rises above the brick base building to a height of 87 feet.
