Welcome Jinah Oh to the Studio!
As we begin the a new year, we’re happy to announce that our architecture practice gained another designer at the end of 2025!
Jinah Oh joined Hacin in 2025 with experience in private residential and commercial design. A Massachusetts native, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from Connecticut College. She later completed a Master of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. During her studies, she traveled to Denmark and found lasting inspiration in Danish design. A studio visit to Aarhus City Hall by Arne Jacobsen and Erik Møller left a strong impression. The building revealed careful intention at every scale, from the envelope to the signage typography.
While living in Philadelphia, Jinah worked on multifamily housing projects at DIGSAU and ISA. She then returned to Boston to join Merge Architects. There, she designed two workspace floors for a global tech company in Kendall Square. She later shifted her focus to high-end residential design at Flavin Architects. At Flavin, she contributed to projects ranging from a full gut renovation of a Louisburg Square brownstone to a waterfront home in Rockport.
Jinah stays active in the academic community and often serves as a guest critic at Wentworth and Northeastern University. She also taught a second-year undergraduate housing studio at Northeastern. Outside of work, she plans food-focused travel itineraries with her husband. She also trains her 85-pound German Shepherd mix, Apollo, and explores ceramics.
Reflecting on her design philosophy, Jinah says, “Architecture is the framework that choreographs a series of views, guiding user experience through the intentional manipulation of space and light.” We’re thrilled to welcome Jinah to our team and know she’ll contribute positively to our office!
