Hacin Welcomes Bryan Velastegui to the Studio!

Hacin is excited to welcome Bryan Velastegui as a new designer in our architectural practice this spring! Bryan joined our studio in March and is currently engaged on upcoming housing work for the firm. Read on to learn more about Bryan and when you see him around our studio, be sure to say hello!

Bryan joined Hacin in 2024 and is from Quito, Ecuador, where he lived for most of his life. Early on through his family, he discovered an interest in architecture and its importance in one of the most fundamental rights of a person, having access to shelter. He has design experience in the US, UK, and Ecuador, having received his undergraduate degree at Universidad de las Américas in Ecuador and Masters degree in Architectural Design at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, UK, where he was part of the “Monumental Wastelands” Research Cluster and graduated with distinction. He has participated in multiple national and international architectural competitions and was awarded the first prize in the African Urban School Competition in Mali and finalist in the Rural Housing Competition in Italy. His projects have been published in different media, most notably the Bartlett B-pro Show Book 2022, ACY Architecture Competitions Yearbook 2022, Revista Trama 2020 and 30×40 Ecuador 2020. When he’s not in the studio, you can find him travelling, making digital art, watching F1, kayaking in the summer, and participating in more competitions.
