Boston Globe Magazine Features Our Newton Tudor Residence
We are excited that our Newton Tudor Residence was featured by the Boston Globe this week in their newly formatted Sunday Globe Winter magazine issue and online. Making the story even more special, the spread includes Trent Bell’s photos of our clients, David and Ronnie Hurvitz, with their adorable daughter Stella. David and Ronnie tell their story about moving from the South End out to the suburbs, and updating their 1932 home, making it more suitable for modern day living. As David Hacin was quoted, “These houses are ready to be reinterpreted for the next generation. We love that these two city guys made a Tudor more urban.”

Marni Elyse Katz, of the Boston Globe, interviewed the design team at length to get a sense of how the project developed. David Hacin, architect Eduardo Serrate, and interior designer, Jennifer Clapp all discussed their conceptual ideas and design process, and the feature expands into a secondary story on the design palette and inspirations that influenced the work. This additional highlight showcases a more in-depth look at the rich colors, materials, and textures which guided the designers’ intentions and selections for the home.
We’re so pleased to see this project and our clients in the Boston Globe and if you missed it in the Sunday issue, check out the full story (and the design palette feature) online!
