Black Lamb is an American restaurant in Boston’s South End where locals and visitors alike can count on a top-notch meal and an inviting atmosphere. The design of the restaurant celebrates the classic American brasserie with a contemporary twist, featuring a color palette that includes a deep green that mimics the ubiquitous green doors and window trim throughout the historic South End. Varying shades of natural and patinated copper, brick and light wood tones, and soft hues of white and black graphics round out the space. Hacin provided a full scope of interdisciplinary design services, including architecture, interior design, and visual identity, encouraging the design and identity of the space to evolve concurrently. Inspired by the historic South End with a layer of home-away-from-home whimsy, the restaurant creates a lasting memory in the eyes and stomachs of all who visit.
